Privacy Policy

SiteKee ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through the SiteKee mobile app and website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who uses SiteKee - site owners, workers and visitors.

Information we collect

Account information. When you register we collect your name, email address and a password. Site owners who purchase a site also provide payment details, which are processed securely by our payment provider -; we never store full card numbers on our servers.

Site activity. When you tap on to a site we record the site, your sign-in and sign-out times, and your acceptance of any Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), inductions or site policies served to you. This is the core of the service: it creates the attendance and compliance record that site owners are required to keep.

Location. With your permission, the app records your device location at the moment you scan a site tag, to verify that the sign-in happened at the site. We do not track your location in the background or at any other time.

Documents and photos. You may choose to upload documents such as licences, White Cards and tickets, including photos taken with your camera. Camera access is used only when you choose to capture a document or photo.

Device and push notifications. We store a push notification token for your device so we can send you notifications (for example, alerting a site owner when someone signs in to their site). We also collect basic diagnostic and crash information to keep the app working reliably.

NFC. The app reads the serial number of SiteKee site tags when you tap them. No other data is read from or written to your device via NFC.

How we use your information

We use your information solely to operate and improve the service: recording site attendance, serving and logging compliance documents, generating time sheets, sending notifications, processing site fees and providing support. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Sharing with site owners

When you sign in to a site, the owner of that site can see your name, your sign-in and sign-out times, the documents you have chosen to share, and your SWMS/induction acceptance records for that site. This is visible only to the owners of sites you actually sign in to.

Service providers

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run SiteKee, including cloud hosting, Google Firebase (push notifications and analytics) and our payment processor. These providers process data only on our instructions and are bound by their own strict security obligations.

Security & retention

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored securely. We retain site attendance and compliance records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet workplace record-keeping obligations that apply to construction sites.

Your choices & account deletion

You can update your profile and manage your documents in the app at any time. You can disable push notifications and location access in your device settings. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time — see Delete Your Account for the full process, or email support@sitekee.com from your registered email address. We will delete your personal data except where we are legally required to retain site attendance records on behalf of site operators.

Children

SiteKee is intended for people working on or visiting construction sites and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will notify you through the app or by email. The "last updated" date above shows when it was last revised.
